My experience of Mr Khulekani Twala as a Maths tutor was a really fulfilling one. I found him to be a great teacher in that he simplified what I considered to be difficult Mathematical concepts through providing relevant context for each section under discussion.  He explained formulas and complex concepts through breaking them down into simpler ones that are easy to understand and follow. Mr Khulekani Twala was my tutor for over 4 years throughout my high school years beginning 2016 to 2020. He came to my assistance because the Cambridge maths syllabus was really hard to understand which made it even harder to practice alone. He stepped in and became not only my tutor but my motivator as well, he constantly reminded me that ‘I will get it someday’. Every Saturdays and Sundays we would have 3-4 hour sessions together, this resulted in the improvement of my maths marks and consequently love towards the subject increased. Today I have a matric certificate with an A* as my maths symbol all because of his dedication, encouragement and time that he gave me on my journey to understanding the subject. He would always emphasise that ‘it is not about getting the final answer correct but rather about understanding the steps it takes to get to the answer’ and those words I still use in my life after high-school.
